What is SMILE?
SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) corrects vision by using a laser to shape a small disc of tissue (a lenticule) inside the cornea, which is then removed through a tiny keyhole opening, without creating a flap. It's a modern, minimally invasive option, mainly for short-sight and astigmatism.
